Creating your Own Lists of Databases and e-Journals 

My Databases

You can create your own lists of selected databases, called My Databases, and use them in QuickSearch and MetaSearch. Note you need to be logged in to the Library Portal to set up and search My Databases.

Use Find Database or MetaSearch to locate specific databases.
Add databases to your database clipboard by clicking on the plus icon  icon in the Database list.

Once you click the Plus icon, it changes to Plus with arrow icon  to show you have added the database to your clipboard.

Go to My Space, and select My Databases. You should see the following screen:

Create a new set by clicking on the Folder icon  icon. Give your set a name, for example, “Favourite Databases”, and save. Transfer databases from your Clipboard to your new set by clicking on the arrow Arrow icon  icons.

You can now search these databases in Metasearch or QuickSearch

My Databases can be searched from Quicksearch and Metasearch

 

My e-Journals  

You can create your own set of favorite e-journals using My e-Journals. Note, you need to be logged in to the Library Portal to use My e-Journals.

  • Locate e-Journals using the Find e-Journal option.
  • Click on the Plus icon  icon to add an e-journal to your own personal list of titles.
  • Your My e-Journals list will display with your title added.

To access your list later, select My Space, and then My e-Journals.

Connect to an e-journal in your list by clicking on the title or the Find It button.
