Roberta Cowan Prize for Information Literacy

This prize is kindly donated by Dr Roberta Cowan, Adjunct Senior Lecturer, School of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, and the University Library. It is awarded to students who demonstrate through their achievements how they have benefited from using university library resources and particularly from their interactions with library staff. Librarians are invited to recommend students for the award – these may be graduating students or students still enrolled in their courses. The prize is presented at the relevant Faculty’s Awards presentation.

In 2008 the Roberta Cowan Prize for Information Literacy was awarded to two students - Susanna Chow, currently enrolled in Bachelor of Asian Studies Specialist degree and Lloyd Johnson, a graduating student Bachelor of Science School of Information Technology Honours. Lloyd's and Susanna's achievements were featured in Library News, August 2008 (see page 2).
