Murdoch University Digital Theses Program

Guidelines for Thesis Authors

Please note that the Murdoch Digital Thesis Program is part of the Australasian Digital Thesis Program and only includes Doctorate and Masters by Research theses completed at Murdoch University.

  • Contact your Liaison Librarian to discuss file formats, copyright and future publication issues. You can also email adt@murdoch.edu.au.

  • Make sure your thesis is in electronic format (for example Microsoft Word, Excel or PDF*) and copied on to a CD or floppy disk.

  • Read and complete the Thesis Submission Form before submitting the digital copy of your thesis.

  • Consider whether you need restricted access to your thesis for a certain period. If so contact your Liaison Librarian or email adt@murdoch.edu.au.

  • Take your electronic copy of the thesis to Administration in the Library with the print copy of your thesis. They will confirm you have completed the submission form, accept the thesis, and notify the Office of R&D to allow you to graduate.

* If submitting in PDF format please do not put any security on the file as we need to make sure the file names fit the ADT convention and also create a "font" file that includes the title page, abstract, contents pages, lists of tables etc.
