Bali Oral History Archive

This site was established as part of an Australian Research Council grant to Dr. Adrian Vickers and Dr. Carol Warren on Cultural Change in Bali. The intent of the project is to make available to researchers an on-line archive of interviews with contemporary Balinese describing their lives and their views on culture and change in their society in the twentieth century. Interviews are listed in alphabetical order and are in Balinese or Indonesian languages.

Registration

Because of stipulations set by some of the interview subjects, access to the site is restricted. Access can be obtained through registration and a written undertaking to observe the restrictions set out below.

Registered members will be provided with a password which will be updated periodically. The new password will automatically be forwarded to the e-mail addresses provided by all those on the registration list.
