BONUS+


Bonus logo is a resource-sharing project that allows students and staff of Murdoch University to borrow selected library material from other participating universities. Libraries involved in the BONUS+ project include:

If the book you need is out on loan, or not held at Murdoch University Library, you can easily request it online from another BONUS+ Library. You then collect it a few days later from your selected Pickup Location.

How to request an item

  • Search the Murdoch University Library catalogue
  • If the book you require is not available, click on Bonus logo and the search is repeated in the BONUS+ catalogue.
  • Select Request This Item.
  • Select Murdoch University Library.
  • Enter your details:
    • Your name
    • Murdoch username and password
  • Choose your Pickup Location
  • Click submit
Your request should be available to collect from the designated library within 7 working days. You will be notified via email when it is ready to pick up. BONUS+ items can be returned at any Murdoch University Library branch.

BONUS+ FAQs

What is available from the BONUS+ catalogue?

The BONUS+ catalogue includes selected material from the participating libraries, but it does not reflect the complete collection of any library. Certain material, such as reserve books and short-term loans are not available. The BONUS+ catalogue is continuously updated with each library's holdings, to show the current availability.

Who can use BONUS+?

Staff, undergraduate, postgraduate students, and all staff and students currently registered to borrow from a participating BONUS+ library under the ULA scheme.

What are the BONUS+ borrowing rules?

  • Items may be on loan for a maximum 21 days.
  • An additional 21 day renewal may be requested if other users have not reserved the item or it has not been recalled by the lending library.
  • All loans are subject to recall by the lending institution at any time.
  • Items are returned to a Murdoch University campus library.
  • $125 will be imposed for billed or lost books ($100 replacement cost plus $25 processing fee).

How long does a BONUS+ delivery take?

Delivery to your specified pickup location can be expected within 4-7 working days. Weekends and holidays may affect this schedule.

How many BONUS+ requests can be made?

  • Undergraduate students may make up to 5 requests at one time
  • Postgraduate students may make up to 10 requests at one time
  • Staff may make up to 10 requests at one time

How to check or cancel a BONUS+ request?

You may view the status of your BONUS+ requests by viewing your My Library record. Items whose status appears as RECV'D are ready for pickup. You can also cancel a BONUS+ request in your My Library record. If an item still has a REQUESTED status, you may cancel the request.
