DVDs and VideosMurdoch CampusThe DVD and Video collection is located on North Wing Level 2. High use DVDs and Videos are located in the Reserve collection in NW Level 3.Finding DVDs and VideosTo locate specific items, please search the Catalogue by title. To find DVDs and videos on a topic, it is best to do an Advanced Search under Any Field and then limit your search to the material type Video/Film/DVD. A list of feature films and other performing arts DVDs at Murdoch Main Campus and Rockingham RCC Library is also available. TVNews & RequestTVTVNews and RequestTV are Screenrights licenced databases that provide students and staff of Murdoch University access to all programs broadcast by the free-to-air TV channels. You are able to view the videos online or order a copy for the library's collection. See the Guide to using TVNews and RequestTV for more information. Viewing DVDs and VideosTwo group viewing rooms are available in the Learning Common area on North Wing Level 2. Additional players are located near the DVD and Video collection. A further player is located in Reserve. Ask at the Reserve Desk on North Wing Level 3 for headphones to use with all players.LoansMost DVDs and Videos are available for loan by all patrons except Murdoch College students. Screenrights recordings can only be borrowed by Murdoch University staff and students.
Bookings
Rockingham CampusDVDs and videos are available for loan to all Library members. Video and DVD players are located on Level 2.
Peel Education CampusDVDs and videos are available for loan to students and staff from Mandurah Senior Campus, Murdoch University and Challenger TAFE only. Video and DVD palyers are located behind the glass partition as you enter the Library.
LectopiaYou may show any of the Library's videos and DVDs in a live tutorial or lecture, but there are copyright restrictions if the lecture is being recorded in Lectopia or any other recording system.
Most commercially produced film materials may not be copied: Screenrights licenced recordings can be used in Lectopia.
Screenrights recordings, and other Lectopia friendly AV resources, are identifiable by a green sticker on their cover.
