Reference Services

Reference Desk

General reference services are provided from the Library's Reference Desks at the Murdoch, Rockingham and Peel campuses. The librarians can help you make effective use of the Library's resources by advising you on the use of the catalogue and website and suggesting appropriate databases for your subject area.

Ask a Librarian is an email reference service provided for Murdoch University students and staff. Send us your question and we will respond by the next working day.

Online Librarian

Online Librarian lets you get answers to your basic reference questions in real-time using chat.

Specialised Reference Services

The subject and liaison librarians provide specialised reference services and research skills training programmes from their offices. They also provide a subject request service for eligible external students. Forms for this service are available online.

On-line searching of databases on behalf of clients is also available. Contact the relevant subject librarian for further information and costs.
